Diameter 0.5m - 4.5m Yokohama Type Fender , Pneumatic Inflatable Rubber Fender

Floating pneumatic rubber fenders are made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheet with compressed air inside. The internal air enables flotation on water and serves as a shock absorber between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures during docking operations. All Doowin Marine Yokohama type floating pneumatic rubber fenders are manufactured and tested in full compliance with ISO 17357.

These fenders feature lightweight construction for easy handling and installation with guy-rope or guy-chain. They resist shearing forces and maintain energy absorption under inclined compression up to 15 degrees while providing low, even hull pressure. Multiple synthetic-cord layers and abrasion-resistant rubber ensure consistent performance in rough conditions and under cyclic loads, minimizing maintenance costs and damage risks while offering self-buoyancy and extended service life.

Two initial pressure ratings available:

• Pneumatic 50 (P50, Initial internal pressure 50kPa)
• Pneumatic 80 (P80, Initial internal pressure 80kPa)

Two common types available:

• Type I - Net Type: Covered with chain net, wire net, or fiber net for small size fenders
• Type II - Sling Type: Features lifting devices on each end for connection with guy chain or guy-rope. Lightweight without protection net

Net-type fenders (Type I) feature:

• Chain net, wire net, or fiber net coverage
• Longitudinal chains/wires/fibers linked with rings for guy chain/guy-rope connection
• Used tires with rubber sleeves for additional protection (except fiber nets which use rubber sleeves only)
• Chain nets offer superior corrosion resistance while wire nets are lighter and easier to repair

Our company offers various hanging ring designs allowing free rotation and accepts custom hanging ring specifications.

Floating pneumatic rubber fenders consist of:

• Outer rubber layer
• Reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layer
• Inner rubber layer

All layers are vulcanized firmly together. Material properties comply with ISO 17357:2014 standards.
