50KPA 80KPA Yokohama Type Pneumatic Rubber Marine Fender

Floating pneumatic rubber fenders are made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheet with compressed air inside. The internal air enables flotation on water and serves as a shock absorber between ships (ship-to-ship) or between ships and berthing structures during docking operations. All Doowin Marine Yokohama type floating pneumatic rubber fenders are manufactured and tested in full compliance with ISO 17357.

These fenders feature lightweight construction for easy handling and installation with guy-rope or guy-chain. They resist shearing forces and maintain energy absorption under inclined compression up to 15 degrees while providing low, even hull pressure. Multiple synthetic-cord layers and abrasion-resistant rubber ensure consistent performance in rough conditions and under cyclic loads, minimizing maintenance costs and damage risks while offering self-buoyancy and extended service life.

Fender's Protection Net Type

Net-type fenders (Type I) feature:

  • Chain net, wire net, or fiber net coverage
  • Longitudinal chains/wires/fibers linked with rings for guy chain/guy-rope connection
  • Used tires with rubber sleeves for additional protection (except fiber nets which use rubber sleeves only)
  • Chain nets offer superior corrosion resistance while wire nets are lighter and easier to repair

Pneumatic Fender Construction

Floating pneumatic rubber fenders consist of:

  • Outer rubber layer
  • Reinforcement synthetic-tire-cord layer

All layers are vulcanized firmly together. Material properties comply with ISO 17357:2014 standards.
